J. Lawrence Snavely
President
Larry founded Snavely Associates in State College, PA in 1982. He is the inspiration behind and responsible for the strategic direction the firm has taken over the years. Because he believes that open and direct communication results in effective communications solutions, he has assembled a team of talented people—on both the creative and sales/marketing sides—who enjoy interacting with clients to understand their goals and their messages. Ultimately, Snavely Associates delivers superior communications solutions on message, on budget, and on time.
Inspired by his late parents, Larry has always been dedicated to his community. He serves several local organizations including the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts, Habitat for Humanity, Leadership Centre County, the State College Area Family YMCA, and The Second Mile. He is the former board chair and current campaign chair for the Centre County United Way and was awarded the Kneebone Award for Extraordinary Volunteerism in 2002 in recognition of his contributions to non-profit agencies. Larry and his wife, Molly, enjoy spending time with their granddaughters, Reagan and Katharine, as well as travel and sailing the Chesapeake Bay aboard “Grace.”
